Are you ready to become a healthier you? I’m Dr. Darlene Thomas, a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBHWC), educator, healthy living blogger, and fitness enthusiast.

I offer my clients much more than my knowledge, expertise, certifications, and qualifications. I bring personal experience and understanding because I have triumphed over Crohn’s disease and osteoarthritis. I have walked this path myself, experiencing the highs and lows, the obstacles, and the strategies to overcome health challenges. I know what it takes to achieve this goal.

Another aspect of my work is my passion for teaching lifestyle and behavior changes that inspire health and well-being. I firmly believe in the power of food as medicine, which stems from my extensive knowledge of nutrition and my health journey. I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative effects of healthy eating. The key lies in nourishing yourself with wholesome, nutritious foods.

All clients embarking on a health and wellness journey are unique. They are different ages and have different eating habits, fitness levels, needs, personalities, and goals. That is why I develop customized health and wellness plans tailored to each individual. Whether it’s healthy eating or fitness goals, my plans are designed to help clients achieve their objectives effectively.

I offer a range of tools and resources to assist them, including easy-to-follow healthy living tips and programs, personalized meal planning, healthy recipes, and fitness and exercise tips. Most importantly, I create eating plans and fitness activities that I think my clients will like. This makes them more likely to maintain a healthy eating and fit lifestyle in the future.

My Core Beliefs About Health And Wellness

After years of struggling with health challenges, I decided to prioritize my health and became a healthier version of myself. It turned out to be one of the best choices I’ve ever made. Throughout my journey, I encountered moments of realization where I understood that my life could be better. Setting my goals, I fully committed to the process, taking small steps and giant leaps. Sometimes I felt close to the finish line, only to discover more obstacles ahead. However, after achieving my goal, I discovered immense joy and peace in being healthy.

Helping others live a balanced, healthy life is now my passion. Drawing from my triumphs, expertise, knowledge, skills, certifications, and qualifications, I elevate health and wellness coaching to new heights. I emphasize the importance of a support system and I understand what the mind and body need to achieve healthiness. During their journey, I also encourage clients to savor life and embrace the wellness journey.

To incorporate a balanced life, I assist clients in practicing self-love and self-care, staying focused on their goals, and fully immersing themselves in the wellness journey. Consistency is key, and I provide unwavering support to each client throughout their transformation.

In addition to guiding clients towards a healthier lifestyle, I emphasize the importance of relaxation and enjoying life’s pleasures. I encourage them to discover and indulge in activities they love, set boundaries, and spend quality time with friends and family. I find solace in gardening, hiking, playing with my three German Shepherds, reading, and cherishing moments with loved ones.

Maintaining a positive attitude is also essential for a healthier life. Negativity can be toxic and hinder progress or even lead to giving up before reaching one’s goals. That’s why I empower my clients to cultivate a positive mindset and embrace optimism as they navigate their wellness journey.
